Bunker Lighting
When it comes to lighting systems and home decorations, we tend to think a lot about indoor lights. This is normal – as we spend most of our time indoors. But we should not forget that outdoor lighting has also impactful benefits as interior lighting.
Just like bunker lighting that today has found its place in most homes and businesses.
Traditionally, bunker lighting refers to the lighting systems used in underground bunkers such as military bunkers, underground shelters, and other types of subterranean structures.
Bunker lights typically use specialized fixtures and bulbs designed to withstand the harsh conditions found underground such as high humidity, dust, and vibration. There is also another characteristic of bunker lighting that is interesting. And that includes features for explosion-proof construction and emergency lighting capabilities.
Bunker lighting has evolved from its purely functional use over time, while retaining some of its vintage industrial elements.
This is the reason why you will notice bunker lights are often long-lasting and to this day, a great option for lighting up outdoor areas. Know more reasons why you should prioritize outdoor lighting.

Technical requirements when buying Bunker Lights
Our entire line of bunker lights has an IP rating. If you are interested, IP (or International Protection Rating) is a code that begins with IP and you will notice that it is always followed by two numerals, and occasionally has a letter.
This is the device’s degree of protection based on the specific electrical enclosure and its ability to prevent the intrusion of solid objects like fingers and dust, as well as resist water and accidental contact.
For example, we have bunker lights with IP64 rating means that they are dust-tight (6) and splash-proof (4). In this case, splash-proof means they are protected from water spray from any direction. Always consult with your electrician before installing lights in damp areas or near water sources.
IP64 means that you have an assurance that these bulkhead or bunker lights can be used inside and out. This means you have more options where to put them though this may feel a little overwhelming. Still, go for the aesthetic feel you prefer just in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
